Meet Our Team

    BRANDI

In March 2022, I moved to Lake Roesiger with my 5-year-old son and our puppy. Right away, I noticed there weren’t many places that welcomed all three of us — something I had often enjoyed back home in Texas. Kevin and I spent a lot of time dreaming about the potential of the Lake Roesiger Store and how it could be transformed into a family-friendly space, much like our favorite spot in Texas — a place called The Cove.

As fate would have it, the owner of the Lake Roesiger Store mentioned to Kevin that he was looking for help behind the counter. I jumped at the opportunity and started working as a cashier. Just one week later, I was asked to step into the role of manager.

Over the next eight months, Kevin and I poured our hearts into planning and building a family-friendly beer garden, complete with a live music stage and a play area for kids.

When the Lake Roesiger Store eventually closed, we enthusiastically stepped in as the new owners — rebranding it as The Cove at Lake Roesiger, in honor of the very place that inspired our vision from the beginning.

  • KEVIN - THE STORE DUDE

I grew up on Hidden Valley Road, living there since I was just a year old. Some of my earliest memories are of riding my bike to the store with my dogs, $5 in hand, ready to load up on candy.

Over the years, I watched different owners come and go, and I always believed this place could be something more — something truly special.

Getting the opportunity to keep the store alive and thriving, at a place that played such a big role in my childhood, has been a dream come true.

As a musician, having a live music venue right here at The Cove and hosting jam sessions has been incredibly soul-fulfilling — it’s everything I could have hoped for and more.

  • CARLEY

I grew up and currently live in Granite Falls. I have two girls, three dogs, three cats, and a husband. To say the least, my house thrives in chaos!

My awesome friends, Brandi and Kevin, brought me to The Cove with their passion and vision! I hopped right in to help bring it to life.

I enjoy all forms of art but painting satisfies me most.  My passion lies in sharing that love for art with others, which recently led Brandi and I to open an art studio! –Coming Winter 2025!

Besides art, you can find me drumming up fun facts to turn into my next round of trivia or out on a kayak!

  • SARAH

I am a Pacific Northwest native and love all things outdoors! I grew up camping and exploring the forests. It was a natural transition to move to the foothills of Pilchuck Mountain in Granite Falls.

I fell in love with our little store as the one and only stop while commuting to and from work, but now it's become family.

  • JENNEE

I grew up in Eugene Oregon and Snohomish Wa. Moved to the lake Roesiger area in 2018 and started working at the Cove in June of 2024.

I have a degree in Fitness.  Even though I no longer work in the fitness industry I still love going to the gym and keeping active. I love the outdoors and traveling. Since starting at the Cove I've saved all my tip $$ and I plan on putting it towards a trip to Europe for me and my teenage son!

I am a crazy cat lady and have 3 cats but really I love all animals.  I am a huge book nerd and read a lot. I enjoy gardening and painting. I'm also a huge music lover. All kinds of music. I've been to hundreds of concerts. You'll always see me playing some tunes when I can! Whenever I'm working at the store you know there will be music playing. My favorite thing about working at The Cove is meeting all the wonderful people and the sense of community. 😊

  • JANEL

I joined The Cove in April 2025 after meeting Brandi and Kevin in December 2024. In addition to working the register, I lead the marketing, graphic design, website and social media profiles for The Cove.

I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, where I was fully immersed in the world of competitive gymnastics. I placed first All-Around at the 2007 Level 9 Eastern National Championships. I then went on to study at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, exploring different majors including psychology, kinesiology, sports medicine, physical therapy, and nursing. I also competed as a Division I springboard diver on scholarship.

Over the years since, I have moved to North Carolina, Italy, Eastern Europe, California, Texas and now Washington! Where I now live in a yurt with my partner, Caleb, three german shepherds and a budding homestead. I also have a passion for working with kids having taught kid’s movement classes for over 15 years from hula hooping to yoga to gymnastics.

I love getting to know the community and seeing Brandi and Kevin’s dreams come true as a family-friendly event space.
